October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month! According to the U.S. Department of Justice, one in four women will be the victim of domestic violence at some point in her lifetime, and on average, three women are killed every day at the hands of a current or former intimate partner.
Come out to Rotary Community Park and support the Annual "Save A Life" Domestic Violence Awareness Walk. The walk will begin at Ramada A in Rotary Park and up through the Bridgewater Channel and back, approximately a 1-1/2 mile walk.
Domestic violence affects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and education levels. Help H.A.V.E.N. raise awareness of domestic violence by letting your voice be heard. All proceeds and donations will go to helping victims of domestic violence.
The $20 registration fee includes a t-shirt.
