And Pancake the Burro himself and his Abuela will be there!
In March 2024, the Go Lake Havasu Visitor Information Center launched the children's book: "Pancake A Very Curious Burro in Lake Havasu," which is a children's introduction to the history of the Lake Havasu area as told by a Burro named Pancake and his Abuela.
To commemorate the book's success, the Visitor Information Center will be hosting a party to celebrate Pancake's first birthday on March 15, 2025, from 10am to noon at the Visitor Center at 422 English Village.
Pancake lives in the Snakebite's HavaZoo Petting Zoo in Havasu Heights. (call for opening times)
This free community event will provide cupcakes, drinks, games with prizes including Pin the Tail, I Spy Game, Face Painting, prizes for kids dressed in western attire, and coloring projects.
Pancake, played by Marty Waychoff, will be on hand, and his Abuela, played by Marge Snyder, will read the book.
The author will also be on hand to sign books.
