Consignment Terms — The Boat Brokers, Inc.

Last updated: June 1, 2026

These terms summarize the key financial and contractual provisions of The Boat Brokers, Inc. standard consignment agreement. They are provided for your review before you submit an inquiry. The complete, binding consignment agreement — including all terms and conditions — will be presented to you in writing and must be signed before any unit is listed with TBB.

Floor Price and Commission

Your floor price (the minimum you agree to accept for your unit) and TBB’s commission structure are established and locked in the written consignment agreement before your unit is listed. TBB does not adjust your floor price after signing without your written consent.

Procuring-Cause Fee

If TBB procures a ready, willing, and able buyer at or above your agreed floor price, and you subsequently remove your unit from consignment or sell it through another channel before closing with that buyer, a procuring-cause fee of 10% of the agreed floor price applies. This fee compensates TBB for marketing, buyer qualification, and transaction costs incurred on your behalf.

Storage Charge

Units remaining on TBB’s lot following early removal or breach of the consignment agreement are subject to a storage charge of $25.00 per day until the unit is retrieved. This charge begins accruing on the date of the removal or breach event.

These Charges Apply Only in Breach Scenarios

The procuring-cause fee and storage charge are contractual remedies — they apply only if a consignor acts in a manner inconsistent with the consignment agreement. A consignor who completes the sale through TBB on the agreed terms pays neither of these charges.

Full Agreement

The complete consignment agreement, which controls in all respects, will be provided to you during the onboarding process. Questions about any term should be directed to [email protected] before signing.
