Buying From Out Of State

You don’t have to live in Havasu to buy your boat here.

Buying a boat from 1,500 miles away should feel safer than buying one across town — not scarier. Through The Boat Broker you’re not wiring money to a stranger and hoping. You watch the boat run on the water on live video before you sign a thing, and our own financing department — backed by 40 years closing deals in Havasu — takes care of your payment, the loan payoff, and your title. See everything first. Then decide.

Here’s what nobody tells you about buying a boat sight-unseen: the danger was never the distance. It’s who’s on the other end. A private seller across the street can still hand you a boat with a hidden lien, a story that doesn’t match the hull, and a payment app that empties the second you hit send. We built this process so you see everything — the boat, the water test, the paperwork — before a dollar of yours is at risk.

Six Steps. Zero Guesswork.

1

Reserve it

When it’s the one, a $1,000 deposit holds it for 7 days — paid through a secure hosted payment page (Alliant Pay), never wired to a personal account or handed to a private party. That $1,000 isn’t a fee; it applies straight toward your purchase. Because these are consigned boats, your deposit rides along with your offer for the seller’s approval — or it simply holds the boat while your financing comes together or your funds wire in. Once it’s reserved, we pull it from active marketing and won’t take another buyer’s deposit while your clock is running. Your deposit is refundable if your financing isn’t approved, the seller declines your offer, or our inspection turns up something that can’t be fixed — outside of that, it applies to your purchase when you close.

2

Walk it live

A broker gets on a live video call and walks the entire boat with you — start the motor, run the electronics, play the stereo, open every bilge and hatch you want to see. You point, we show. Want fresh photos of a specific angle, a compartment, the hours on the gauge? Ask, and we shoot them and send them the same day.

3
The Strongest Proof

Watch it run on the water

This is the part a photo can’t fake and a survey report can’t match: before any documents are finalized, we put the boat on the water and demonstrate it — on live video for you, in real time. You watch it run, get on plane, hold trim, and come off the water. For a remote buyer that’s about as close to standing on the dock as it gets — you see the boat do the one thing it’s built to do before you ever sign.

4

We inspect it before it ships

Before your boat leaves our lot, our in-house service department runs its own pre-delivery inspection and safety check — starting the engine, running the systems, and confirming standard safety equipment is present and functioning. It’s the same check we’d want before we handed the keys to a neighbor — done before the boat gets on a truck, not discovered after it arrives. This is our own process, not a third-party certification, and it doesn’t change the as-is basis of the sale.

5

Your payment, the loan payoff, and your title — one office, ours

This is the part people worry about most with a distant seller, so here’s exactly how it works: our own financing department handles it — backed by a brokerage that’s closed Havasu deals for 40 years. They process your payment directly — not through a third-party escrow service — and if there’s a loan on the boat, they confirm and clear the payoff directly with the lienholder before your title transfers to you. You never wire money to a stranger. You never chase a lienholder or a title in the mail. You get a clean, transferable title and register it in your home state.

6

Delivered to your driveway

We help arrange enclosed or open transport with a licensed, commercially-insured carrier, and we’ll get you a shipping quote up front — no “call for a price” runaround. You’ll know what’s coming and when. Once the ink is dry and you take delivery, it’s yours.

Which is why we show you everything first.

We’re a brokerage. These are consigned boats, and they’re sold as-is. No warranties on the unit itself beyond what’s stated in writing — full terms at our Terms & Conditions. We say that up front, because “as-is” only scares you when the seller’s been hiding something. We do the opposite. Before you ever sign, you’ve seen the boat walked on live video, watched it run on the water, and our service department has put it through a pre-delivery and safety inspection. No surprises waiting on the trailer.

And where there’s coverage to pass along, you get it:

  • Any manufacturer or component warranty still active on the boat transfers to you, on the manufacturer’s own terms — we’re not the warrantor and don’t administer it, but we won’t stand in the way of coverage that’s yours to have.
  • Want protection beyond the sale? We offer extended service contracts as a separate, optional purchase — priced and papered on their own, so they’re yours to add if you want them, not something baked into the boat itself.
  • If our inspection turns up something that isn’t right, we make it right — before it ever ships. Once you’ve signed and taken delivery, the boat is yours, sold as-is, same as any Boat Broker purchase.

You were going to fly out to see it. Don’t — let us bring the boat to you.

Any boat on our lot, a broker will get on a live video call and show you every system running — and put it on the water so you can watch it run before you commit to anything. Direct Answers, No Runaround

Yes — and people do it all the time. We walk the whole boat with you on live video, put it on the water so you can watch it run before you sign, our service department runs a pre-delivery and safety inspection before it ships, our own financing department handles your payment and title, and we deliver it to your driveway. You can do the entire thing from your couch, or fly out for any part you want.
Yes — and here’s exactly how it works. Every boat gets a full walkaround on live video, a water test so you see it run before documents are finalized, and our own pre-delivery inspection and safety check by our in-house service department — not a third-party certification. You’re always welcome to come look at the boat in person. If you’d like an independent inspection by a certified mechanic, that’s arranged with the seller’s approval first — because these are consigned boats, only our own service department works on a unit while it’s under consignment, which is part of how we protect the person who trusted us to sell it.
These are consigned boats, sold as-is. Where a manufacturer or component warranty is still active and transferable, it transfers to you on the manufacturer’s own terms — we’re not the warrantor. Your $1,000 deposit reserves the boat and applies toward your purchase. From there, you can pay by financing through your own lender, by wire transfer, or in full at delivery with a cashier’s check or cash — we don’t accept personal checks. Prefer a card? Credit cards are accepted, with a 3% surcharge on any amount beyond your initial deposit. Our financing department will walk you through whichever path fits.
Your $1,000 deposit holds the boat for 7 days and applies straight toward your purchase. It’s refundable if your financing isn’t approved, the seller declines your offer, or our pre-delivery inspection turns up a mechanical issue that can’t be fixed — or that the seller won’t fix. Outside of those three, your deposit is doing exactly what it’s for — holding your boat and going toward the purchase. Financing clears, the seller says yes, the boat checks out: she’s yours. There’s no buyer’s-remorse refund, and after you’ve watched her run on the water, you won’t be looking for one.
We’ll get you a shipping quote up front — no guessing. We help arrange enclosed or open transport with a licensed, commercially-insured carrier, and you’ll know your timeline before it ships.
Yes. We hold the title on our consigned units, and if there’s a loan to clear, our financing department pays off the lienholder directly and clears the title before it’s yours. You receive a clean, transferable title and register it in your home state.
