A boat loan is priced differently from a car loan: the term is often longer, the collateral depreciates on a different curve, and the lender pool is different. Whether your rate lands higher or lower than a car loan depends on the lender, the loan amount, the term, the boat’s age, and your credit profile. We don’t quote rates on a web page; the lender sets the rate after reviewing the application.
What we do is place your application with the lender that fits the boat: conventional marine lenders for units under 25 years old, equity lenders for older, high-performance or $150,000-plus units. Every loan is on approved credit and subject to lender approval.
