Does Arizona require a boating license?

Arizona does not require a general boating license for adults. However, anyone born after January 1, 1985 who operates a motorized vessel 10 horsepower or greater must complete an approved boater education course and carry their certification card. The course is available online through the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). Failure to carry the card can result in a fine.
