Dry storage means the boat is kept out of the water on land — either on a trailer, in a rack, or in a dedicated unit. It is generally better for boats than wet slips in Lake Havasu because freshwater exposure causes hull growth and electrolysis over time. Dry-stored boats also have lower maintenance costs and longer hull life. The tradeoff is hauling the boat to the water each use.
