What life jacket rules apply to children on Arizona boats?

Arizona requires children under 12 years old to wear a USCG-approved life jacket at all times while on a moving vessel. The life jacket must be the correct size for the child's weight — check the weight range on the label. Infants and toddlers require Type II or Type III infant life jackets specifically rated for their weight. A Type IV throwable flotation device is not an acceptable substitute for a wearable life jacket for children.
