Adults may bring and consume alcohol on a private boat on Lake Havasu, but the operator is subject to Arizona's boating under the influence (BUI) law at 0.08% BAC — the same as driving. AZ Game and Fish officers regularly conduct BUI patrols on the lake, especially during peak events. Open containers are legal for passengers but not for the operator. Lake Havasu City also prohibits glass containers in the water and on many beach areas.
