Buying a boat, RV or classic car from us is a short list of paperwork and a few decisions you can make before you walk onto the lot. Here’s what to bring, what happens between “yes” and delivery, and what you don’t need to worry about.
Bring with you
- Photo ID for every buyer who’ll be on the title.
- Your financing, started. If you’re financing, the fastest path is to fill out the credit application before you come in; a formal application is a hard pull, which may temporarily affect your score by a few points. Our finance team places it with the lender that fits the unit’s age and price. Every loan is on approved credit and subject to lender approval. Paying cash? Nothing to bring but the decision.
- Insurance contact. A lender funds against an insured unit, and you’ll want coverage in force before delivery either way. Bring your agent’s details or have a quote in hand.
- Where you’ll register it. Boats register through the Arizona Game and Fish Department; RVs and vehicles through the MVD. Title and registration vary by county and state and are quoted exactly before you sign anything, so tell us up front if you’re registering out of state.
- For a towable: your truck’s door-jamb sticker (or a photo of it). The payload number on it, not the catalog number, is what a broker uses to check that the trailer and your truck work together.
- Your current unit’s details if you have one to sell. Our pre-owned inventory is consigned, so we don’t take trades on it; instead we consign yours with no fees while you enjoy the new one. Bring the title, a loan payoff statement if you still owe, and photos.
What’s in the price, and what’s added
On a boat, the trailer, a lake test drive and a professional orientation are included in the posted price. Fees are itemized on every listing: $399 documentation, $110 processing and $495 safety inspection, plus Arizona sales tax where it applies; title and registration are quoted before you sign. The signed purchase agreement is the controlling document, so read it with the broker.
What happens after you say yes
- Purchase agreement. A dealer verifies the inspection status, title documents, registration path and written terms with you before signing. Want to hold a unit while you arrange things? Most listings let you hold with a deposit online.
- Inspection and prep. Nearly everything we carry is consigned, and before delivery every unit gets a professional safety inspection (the $495 service, disclosed up front) plus a wash. Delivery is typically one to two weeks after the purchase agreement.
- Delivery. On a boat, that means the on-water test drive and an orientation so you know the boat before you take it home. On an RV or classic, a walk-through of the unit and its paperwork.
What you don’t need
You don’t need to bring a mechanic to see a unit: every used unit on our lot has been looked over, and we don’t list one we wouldn’t sell to a friend. You’re welcome to arrange an independent inspection, paid by the buyer, and we’ll accommodate it. You don’t need to haggle a price menu either; the price is on the listing. Contact us before you come so we can confirm which lot the unit is at, that it’s still available, and get it ready for you.
