Boat loan rates move with the market and with the file, so there is no “typical” number we can honestly print. The lender sets the rate after reviewing the application, and it depends on the lender, the loan amount, the term, the boat’s age and your credit profile. We don’t quote rates on a web page.
What the lender weighs in setting it: your credit profile, your down payment, the boat’s age and price, and the term. Units under 25 years old go to conventional marine lenders; older, high-performance or $150,000-plus units go to equity lenders, who weigh the buyer and the deal more than a score alone. Every loan is on approved credit and subject to lender approval.
