Pre-Purchase Boat Inspection

What boat problems are too expensive to fix?

Boat issues that often cost more to repair than the boat is worth: extensive structural fiberglass damage throughout the hull, severe osmotic blistering requiring a full blister repair and barrier coat, complete engine replacement on an older low-value boat, catastrophic water damage to the core throughout the deck and stringers, and delaminated hull sides on an older fiberglass vessel. Get two or three repair quotes before walking away — sometimes prices vary dramatically by shop.
